OpenSnow Base is an auto-renewable subscription, which will renew yearly at $49.99 USD. Payment will be charged to the user's Apple account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period and identify the cost of the renewal. If the auto-renewal fails due to a payment issue, you will still be able to access the paid content for 16 days while Apple attempts to collect payment. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase.

Share your favorite locations with friends and family. This includes the ability to share custom lists so that you and your friends always have the OpenSnow forecast dialed in for your favorite ski resorts, backcountry spots, or destination trips. Go to the Favorites screen and tap the + icon below the list name to get started.

Slope Angle + Aspect

Explore terrain features and avoid risky, steep, or avalanche-prone terrain. Slope Angle provides the incline of any given slope and is a critical aspect when evaluating avalanche danger in the backcountry. Slope Aspect details the direction at which the terrain is facing and can be important for planning around sun exposure on the snow surface. Go to the Maps tab, tap the blue overlay button, scroll over to the Land chip, and select Slope Angle or Slope Aspect to get started.

Air Quality Sensor Details

Tap an air quality station on the map to view detailed charts and historical data for that sensor. Go to the "Maps" tab, select the "Air Quality" category, tap the "Air Quality Real Time" layer, and tap any station to get started.

Precipitation Weather Stations

View precipitation measurements directly on the map. When a precipitation variable is selected, station markers fade according to the amount measured, making it easier to distinguish areas with measurable precipitation from zero readings.

Get a quick description of the weather and snow conditions at popular ski resorts around the world. The human forecasters at OpenSnow can’t cover all places at all times, so we created AI-written predictions using our internal forecast data to provide an in-depth summary of what skiers or riders will likely experience on the mountain. Go to any ski resort screen and scroll down to the “Al Overview” section under the “Snow Summary” tab to get started. Included with Base and Premium accounts.

11-15 Day Forecasts

View multi-model forecasts for the next 15 days for any location on Earth. Go to the Favorites screen and/or any individual location screen to view the OpenSnow forecast for the next 15 days. Please note that this will move to our new Premium subscription in mid-November.
